HEINRICH1 GUNDRUM

b. April 24, 1816 in Angenrod, near Alsfeld, Hesse                          d. July 28, 1901 in Nenno, Washington, Wisconsin.

 

He married LUDMILLA GEHRING January 13, 1848 in St. Lawrence, Washington, Wisconsin, St. Lawrence. Ludmilla was the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Gehring. Heinrich came to the United States in 1837, and worked in Ohio and Indiana before reaching Racine, Wisconsin, in 1844. Shortly thereafter he bought the farm in Washington County near Allenton, Wisconsin, which remained in the Gundrum family until the mid 1970's.
